On Saturday evening, we had the pleasure of dining at Panacea in the city. Having received a recommendation from a friend, we went there venturing into the unknown and not knowing what to expect.
When I rang to make a booking, I asked to be seated as close to the fireplace as possible, being that it was due to be a cold night. The lady on the phone kindly obliged and said she would try her best.
Located on Halifax street in the city, when we arrived we had a little trouble getting a park, but certainly not as difficult as some of the busier streets in the city. When we arrived, we were greeted, and shown to our seats. The first thing you notice when you walk into Panacea is that it has a real Melbourne type feel to the restaurant. Great decor, and a lovely vibe to the restaurant. Very relaxed atmosphere, but also very comfortable.
We were greeted by our waiter for the evening, Lathaniel, a lovely gentleman who would take us on our journey through Panacea’s menu during the course of the night.
