Super Junior fans wait for chance to see idols PDF Print E-mail
Thousands of fans lined up outside the World Expo site from early yesterday to get a ticket to see Super Junior, a South Korean singing group, perform at the Expo Culture Center last night.

Some fans even began their wait at about 11pm on Saturday, hoping to get a glimpse of their idols.

Czech artists aim to put their writing on the wall PDF Print E-mail
Street art and graffiti came to Expo last night with the opening of "Metropolis," an exhibition of the work of six Czech artists at the Czech Pavilion.

The young artists, known as Cryptic 257, Point, Masker, Pasta, Torn and Skarf, will spray their designs on a wall outside the pavilion next Tuesday from 3pm to 7pm. They will leave the wall there to allow their work to fade away naturally, just as it would on the streets

Expo wins wide acclaim from visitors PDF Print E-mail
The Expo Shanghai has won wide acclaim from visitors in the past month since its opening. The number of visitors totaled 7.68 million by 5pm today.

High technologies applied in pavilions attracted millions of people to queue for a visit, like the painting “Along the River During the Qingming Festival” in the China Pavilion, the 3-D IMAX theater in the Saudi Arabia and the “cleverest robot” in the Japan Pavilion.

Actors from Liaoning Province stage a “Gaoqiao” and “Yangko” show yesterday. The Liaoning Province Week, packed with activities and performances, kicked off at the Baosteel Stage yesterday. Visitors may get a glimpse of the unique and colorful folk arts and cultural activities from the province, which is located in northeast China.
 
Spain Pavilion welcomes millionth visitor PDF Print E-mail
A nine-year-old girl from neighboring Zhejiang Province luckily became the millionth visitor to the Spain Pavilion at 2:25pm yesterday.

The girl, Wang Mansha, received a gift package and a dining coupon from Mara Tena, commissioner general for the Spain Pavilion.

Wang and her family enjoyed the Flamengo dancing in the pavilion and took a picture with the mascot “Xiao Mi.”

“I like Xiao Mi best, because it is so cute,” said Wang and she expressed her wish to tour Spain in future.
