Germany's Andre Greipel has become the second rider in the 12 year history of the Santos Tour Down Under to twice claim the crown after a phenomenal performance that saw him win three of the event's six stages and, with the support of his HTC-Columbia team, fend off all challengers.

One year after making his comeback to professional cycling on the streets of Adelaide, Lance Armstrong has returned for the world debut of his new team, Team RadioShack.
The seven-times Tour de France winner and cancer survivor will compete in the 2010 Santos Tour Down Under, being held from Sunday 17 January to Sunday 24 January.
Arriving at Adelaide Airport late yesterday, Armstrong joined Premier Mike Rann, Tourism Minister Jane Lomax-Smith and Race Director Mike Turtur for a press conference this morning

Cycling fans with iPhones will be able to get minute-by-minute race updates on their phone, with a new free ‘app’ for the Santos Tour Down Under going live overnight.
And mobile web pages are being developed so Blackberry users can also access the live news feeds. This feature will be ready in time for the start of the race.

The first new record of the 2010 Santos Tour Down Under has been cemented, with the largest ever field to line up for the Mutual Community Challenge Tour.
Registrations closed at 5pm yesterday and Premier Mike Rann says preliminary figures show 8030 cyclists will take part in this year’s event on Friday 22 January
